Yintab Primary School
The primary department provides the solid education foundation needed for admission into any secondary school of renowned standard in the country. The subjects taught in this department include: Mathematics, English language, spelling, French, Music, Social studies, Bible knowledge, Verbal Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, Arts and crafts, moral Instruction, Elementary science, Health science, Vocational Aptitude. Emphasis is placed on learning of skills rather than facts. Students are encouraged to think. The curriculum used is based on the 6-3-3-4 educational policy of the Nigerian educational System. The main medium of all teaching learning is English. Yoruba and French are also taught for linguistic knowledge. Music is part of the school’s life and taught in all classes. The students receive recorder lessons during the Music class. Concerts are arranged at the end of each academic year and gifts presented by parents and well wishers during the prize giving day celebrations. Arrangements are made at regular intervals for groups or classes for expeditions to Museums and places of educational interest.

All the teaching staff at Yintab are fully qualified to teach the appropriate classes. Their qualification range from Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) trained for the younger children up to Bachelors Honours degree. The headmistresses of the schools are degree holders in Guidance and Counseling. All our staff are trained and experienced. Theproprietress of the school is an experienced teacher with an honours degree in (child development) and Masters degree (Guidance and Counselling).

All the children of the schools are Nigerians. The children are being encouraged to put a lot of effort into their academic work and to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. As they progress through the school they are given ever-increasing opportunities to take on responsibilities such as becoming a primary monitor or a school prefect so that they can leave Yintab to go out into the world as responsible ambassadors.

The teachers are responsible for the general conduct and care of their classes. High standard of conduct is insisted upon and maintained. There is mutual respect between the teaching staff and students. Problems of discipline are few when they occur are well handled. Before problems get out of hand, parents are contacted.
